Daley claims silver in the Paris Olympics

A chance trip to a sports museum with his five-year-old son made Tom Daley reverse his post-Tokyo 2020 decision and return to the Olympic stage.

Tom Daley has won his fifth Olympic medal with a superb silver alongside Noah Williams in the men's synchronised 10m platform in Paris.

Daley, 28, had originally retired after the Tokyo Games but was persuaded to return by his son, Robbie, who asked him to compete in Paris.

"I'm so proud of what we've achieved," said Daley. "It's been an incredible journey and I wouldn't have been able to do it without the support of my family and friends."
