Daley and Williams produce excellent performance to score 463.44 at Paris Aquatics Center

Tom Daley has won his fifth Olympic medal with a superb silver alongside Noah Williams in the men's synchronised 10m platform in Paris.

The pair, who only started diving together in June last year, produced an excellent performance to score 463.44 at the Paris Aquatics Center.

It was a close-fought competition, with China's Yuan Cao and Aisen Chen taking gold with a score of 467.01 and Canada's Vincent Riendeau and Nathan Zsombor-Murray claiming bronze with a score of 463.34.

Daley, who was competing in his fifth Olympics, said he was "over the moon" with the result.

"I'm so proud of Noah," he said. "He's only 20 years old and he's already one of the best divers in the world. I'm so lucky to have him as my partner."

Williams said he was "thrilled" to have won a medal with Daley.

"He's a legend of the sport and I've learned so much from him," he said. "It's an honour to dive with him."

The silver medal is Daley's third Olympic medal in the synchronised 10m platform event. He won bronze in 2012 and gold in 2016 with Dan Goodfellow.

It is also Williams' first Olympic medal.
