Erling Haaland double gives Manchester City victory

Julian Alvarez also on target as City return to winning ways

Manchester City returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday.

Julian Alvarez opened the scoring in the 14th minute, finishing off a fine team move. Erling Haaland then doubled City's lead in the 22nd minute, heading home a Kevin De Bruyne cross. Haaland added his second of the game in the 38th minute, tapping in from close range.

City were reduced to 10 men in the 64th minute when Joao Cancelo was shown a second yellow card. However, Spurs were unable to take advantage and City held on for a comfortable victory. The win moves City back to the top of the Premier League table, two points ahead of Arsenal.
