Dallas Mavericks Fall Short in Game 7, End Season
Mavs Lose to Warriors in Decisive Game
Missed Opportunities Plague Dallas
The Dallas Mavericks' season came to an end on Tuesday night with a 110-105 loss to the Golden State Warriors in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals. The Mavs led by as many as 19 points in the first half, but the Warriors rallied to tie the game at the end of regulation. In overtime, the Warriors outplayed the Mavs, hitting key shots and getting defensive stops.
Luka Doncic led the Mavs with 32 points, but he was inefficient, shooting just 12-of-33 from the field. The rest of the Mavs' supporting cast struggled to make shots, with Spencer Dinwiddie and Jalen Brunson combining to shoot 9-of-35 from the field.
The Warriors were led by Stephen Curry, who had 30 points and hit big shots down the stretch. Klay Thompson added 26 points, while Draymond Green had 17 points and 19 rebounds.
The loss is a disappointing end to a season that saw the Mavs reach the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2011. However, the Mavs have a lot of young talent, and they should be a contender for years to come.
