Sharing your Wi-Fi password with guests can be a hassle. You have to either tell them the password, which can be difficult to remember, or write it down, which can be easy to lose. Fortunately, there's a much easier way to share your password: using a QR code.
Using the Share My Wi-Fi with QR Code App (iOS)
If you have an iPhone or iPad, you can use the Share My Wi-Fi with QR Code app to easily create a QR code for your Wi-Fi password. Simply download the app from the App Store and open it. Tap on the big plus sign in the middle of your screen to create a new QR code. Enter your Wi-Fi network name and password, and then tap on the "Generate" button. The app will then create a QR code that you can share with your guests.
Using the Shortcuts App (iOS and iPadOS)
If you're running iOS 13 or later, you can use the Shortcuts app to create a QR code for your Wi-Fi password. To do this, open the Shortcuts app and tap on the "Create Shortcut" button. Then, tap on the "Add Action" button and search for "Wi-Fi." Select the "Get Wi-Fi Password" action and add it to your shortcut. Next, tap on the "Add Action" button again and search for "QR Code." Select the "Create QR Code" action and add it to your shortcut. Finally, tap on the "Done" button to save your shortcut.
Using a Third-Party App (Android)
If you have an Android device, you can use a third-party app to create a QR code for your Wi-Fi password. There are many different apps available in the Google Play Store, so you can choose one that best suits your needs. Once you've installed the app, simply open it and follow the instructions to create a QR code for your Wi-Fi password.
